Yodle is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to be an analytical powerhouse who will take mountains of data and turn it into meaningful business insights. They produce critical monthly business reports/KPIs and insightful analysis to better understand our product performance and distribution. As a result, their reports drive quick decision making and fast-paced company growth.

Responsibilities

• Use superior analytical skills and business judgment to identify, prioritize, structure and solve various complex business problems
• Analyze large data sets and derive key, actionable business insights and communicate them to senior management
• Ensure rigorous quality control over data, analyses and metrics, and organizational clarity and alignment for key business metrics
• Work closely with executives and other finance team members on the business and financial forecasting.

• Superior analytical/problem-solving abilities
• Ability to organize and present data in a way that tells compelling stories and drives decisions.
• Keen intuition about data analysis - you can distinguish what matters from what doesn't and you understand thoroughly the ways in which data can mislead.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, particularly when interacting with executives.
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Exceptional SQL skills with 2+ years experience writing complex queries. We use PostgreSQL, but a background in MySQL, MS SQL, etc is just fine.
• Exceptional Excel skills - you will need to transform large data sets into easy-to-digest summaries and charts.
• Experience with scripting or statistical languages like VBA, Python, Perl, Java and R a plus.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a leading business or computer science program.
• Some academic background in statistics, mathematics and economics preferred
• Background in online advertising or search engine marketing a plus
